โš  TERMINAL STRIKE — GLOBAL THERMONUCLEAR WAR SIMULATOR

The DEFCON board reads 3. The missiles are in their silos. Somewhere in the command chain, a finger is hovering over a button.

Terminal War is a real-time 3D simulation of a global nuclear exchange. Watch a rotating Earth in your browser, launch missiles from silos, subs, and bombers, and see whether anyone survives the retaliation.

๐ŸŒ A LIVING EARTH

Not a flat map. Not a static globe. A rotating 3D Earth with a real day/night terminator — city lights switch on as countries pass into darkness, then go dark at dawn. Every missile you launch is a physical object arcing across the actual curvature of the planet.

๐Ÿš€ REAL LAUNCH PHYSICS

Missiles follow great-circle arcs — the shortest path across the globe, not straight lines through space. ICBMs split into MIRV warheads mid-flight. Subs fire while hidden. Bombers take longer but come in from unexpected angles. Every warhead is a dart-shaped object with a faction-tinted trail.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ INTERCEPTION & RETALIATION

SAM sites don't just sit there — they intercept inbound missiles with distance-scaled probability. Get close to a defended city and your strike has a real chance of being shot down. Hit a faction and they remember: retaliation AI prioritizes whoever hit them last.

๐Ÿ“Š FACTION COMMAND CONSOLE

Live HUD shows casualties per faction, cities remaining, active missile count, and DEFCON status. Watch the chips tick up in real time as the war escalates. Realistic casualty modeling based on actual metro populations — hit New York, lose roughly 3 to 6 million.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ BUILD YOUR OWN SCENARIOS

Terminal Strike ships with a standalone preset maker — place cities and silos anywhere on the globe, define your own factions, colors, and populations. Export the scenario as JSON, load it into the sim, and watch a war you designed play out.

  • ๐Ÿš€ ICBMs, submarines, bombers, SAMs, and MIRV warheads
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Distance-scaled missile interception
  • ๐Ÿ’ฅ Realistic casualties based on real metro populations
  • ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ Retaliation AI — factions remember who attacked them
  • ๐Ÿ”‡ Sub stealth, silo cooldowns, bomber flight times
  • โš”๏ธ Multiple playable factions with unique colors
  • ๐Ÿงจ Full Scale War mode with a dramatic opening salvo

  3. Launch manually with the faction buttons or number keys (1, 2, 3...)
  4. Watch the globe — every missile is real, every impact is final
  5. Survive — or don't. Most games end with everyone gone

Controls:

  • Drag — orbit the camera
  • Wheel — zoom in/out
  • Space — pause / resume
  • R — reset the simulation
  • 0 — toggle Earth rotation
  • 1..N — launch from each playable faction
  • LOAD PRESET — play a custom scenario

๐ŸŽจ CUSTOM SCENARIOS

Want to simulate NATO vs a united South America? The Penguin Empire vs the African Union? A world with ten nuclear powers? The preset maker is included in the download — build any scenario you can imagine, export the JSON, and load it in seconds.

Official presets included:

  • Default — NATO vs The East — the "main" scenario
  • Cuban Missile Crisis
